Gaon Pradhan recruitment in Assam 2025
Assam Government has recently released a recruitment notifications for Gaon Pradhan posts in many districts. Which was previously known as Gaon Brua, from now in Assam it will be known as Gaon Pradhan. Applications are invited from the interested and eligible candidates who are mentally and physically fit for this vacancy. Candidates will be selected from the same mentioned village for this recruitment. Also, other eligibility and recruitment details will be available in the District commissioner office, of the particular District.

Eligibility Criteria for Gaon Pradhan Posts
Age Limit: Applicants must be at least 30 years old and not older than 65 as of January 1, 2025.
Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of the specific area where they’re applying to be appointed.
Property Requirement: The candidate must own land or immovable property in their name within the area where they seek the appointment as Gaon Pradhan.
Children: The candidate should not have more than two living children, whether from a single partner or multiple partners. A self-declared affidavit confirming this must be submitted.
Government Employment: The applicant must not be a government employee.
Political Affiliation: The applicant should not be affiliated with or a member of any political party.
Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed at least the 10th standard (matriculation) from a recognized board or institution.
Physical & Mental Fitness: The candidate should be physically fit and mentally sound.
Financial Integrity: The applicant must not have been declared insolvent or be a defaulter in repaying any government dues.
Social Standing: The candidate should be well-respected in the community, with a good reputation and the ability to command respect.
How to Apply for Gaon Pradhan Post
Candidates must submit their applications using the prescribed format within the specified deadline. The completed application should be submitted in person at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Jorhat.
