Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE), Assam has officially announced the Assam TET Final Result 2025 for Graduate Teacher (GT) and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) posts. The Teachers’ Eligibility Test cum Recruitment Test (TCR) 2024 was held on 19th January 2025 to recruit 9,717 teaching posts across government and provincialized secondary schools in Assam.
Out of these, 1,487 vacancies were for Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) and 8,230 vacancies for Graduate Teachers (GT) in subjects like Arts, Science, Hindi, and Sanskrit.
As per the official update by Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, the final results of the Assam GT and PGT TET Recruitment 2024 will be declared at 10:30 AM on 17th October 2025.

Assam GT & PGT TET Final Result 2025 – Latest Update
The much-awaited Assam TET Result 2025 will determine the final selection of Graduate and Post Graduate Teachers under the Directorate of Secondary Education, Assam. After successfully conducting the written test in January, DSE Assam released the written exam results in May and June 2025 for PGT and GT posts, respectively.

The number of candidates selected in the merit list will be maintained at a 1:1 ratio to the total vacancies advertised. For example, if 9,717 posts are available, only 9,717 candidates will be included in the merit list.
2️⃣ Multiple Merit Lists (If Required)
If any seats remain vacant after the publication of the first list, the DSE reserves the right to publish up to two additional merit lists to fill remaining positions.
3️⃣ Subject-wise Merit Lists
Separate subject-wise merit lists will be published for Post Graduate Teachers (PGT). For example — one list each for English, Political Science, Mathematics, Assamese, etc.
4️⃣ Criteria for Merit Calculation
- Marks obtained in the TET cum Recruitment Test (TCR)
- Marks in qualifying academic degrees
- Extra marks for NCC, Sports, Fine Arts, or Cultural activities
- Verification of eligibility and documents
