The Department of General Administration, Government of Assam has launched the official “Matri Pitri Vandana” portal to facilitate State Government employees in applying online for Special Casual Leave.

This initiative has been introduced under the guidance of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, who has encouraged all government employees to make the best use of these special holidays by spending meaningful time with their parents, parents-in-law, and other family members.

The scheme not only provides employees with leave benefits but also aims to strengthen family bonds, preserve cultural values, and encourage respect towards elders.
