According to the latest DEE Result update, the Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam has released the Second Provisional Merit List for the recruitment of Assistant Teachers in Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) Schools across the state.
Earlier, the Directorate completed the online application process for 4500 Assistant Teacher vacancies under the DEE Assam Teacher Recruitment 2025–26. Candidates who applied for these teaching posts can now check the district-wise and category-wise merit list along with the official cut-off marks on the official DEE Assam portal.
It is important to note that the currently published merit list is provisional and may be revised once the final selection list is prepared by the department.

DEE Assam Merit List 2026 – Important Update
The 1st and 2nd Provisional Merit Lists for the DEE Assam LP & UP Teacher Recruitment have been published on the official website for candidates’ reference.
Additionally, district-wise and category-wise cut-off marks have also been released to help applicants understand the selection criteria and merit ranking.
Candidates must note that:
- The provisional merit list is temporary and will automatically become invalid once the next provisional or final merit list is released.
- Appointment letters will only be issued to candidates whose names appear in the Final Selection List, which will be announced in due course.

The merit list for LP and UP teacher recruitment has been prepared based on the evaluation criteria mentioned in the official advertisement dated 08 January 2025 and the Government Notification dated 28 November 2023.

The final ranking of candidates has been calculated using the above evaluation formula.
Preference Submission for Multiple Selections
Candidates whose names appear in multiple posts or categories must submit their final preference or option selection through the official DEE portal.
The deadline to submit the preference is 05 March 2026 (05:00 PM). Candidates are advised to complete this process within the specified time to avoid cancellation of their candidature.
