Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu has officially announced that the First Provisional Merit List for the recruitment of Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) School Teachers under the Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam will be released tonight on the official website dee.assam.gov.in.
The recruitment drive was conducted against the advertisement for 5,550 vacancies across LP and UP schools in Assam. Thousands of aspiring candidates had applied for these posts, which are being filled to strengthen the state’s education system and address teacher shortages in government schools.
According to the announcement, after the publication of the provisional list, selected candidates will have to complete necessary verification and formalities. Following this process, the final appointment orders will be issued.
Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, has confirmed that the appointment of selected candidates is scheduled for 10th October 2025, marking a significant milestone in the recruitment process.
Candidates are advised to regularly check the DEE Assam website for updates and instructions regarding document verification and joining formalities.
