The Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Education Department in Kokrajhar is excited to announce a recruitment drive aimed at strengthening and improving elementary education across the region. This initiative aligns with the Right to Education Act, 2009, and the BTC (Amendment) Act, 2020 (Act No. 2 of 2020). We are inviting online applications from eligible Indian citizens—defined under Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and residing in Assam—who have qualified in the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET), Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), or BTC TET. These positions are for various teaching roles in Lower Primary (LP) Schools under the Director of Education, BTC.
Successful candidates will receive pay and allowances as per the Assam Service (Revision of Pay) (Amendment) Rules, 2019, along with other benefits as approved by the government. The Finance (SIU) Department, Government of Assam, has sanctioned the vacancies, and applicants can select their preferred districts during the online application process on the official BTC website.
BTC Kokrajhar Recruitment 2025 for LP & UP Eligibility criteria and application process
- Kokrajhar reserves the right to cancel or delay the recruitment process at any stage without prior notice.
- Eligibility is limited to those who have passed the ATET, CTET, or BTC TET for Lower Primary Schools.
- The language of your TET qualification must match the medium of instruction at the school you apply for.
- You may apply for up to two districts, selecting categories based on availability.
- Age limits are 18 to 40 years for unreserved categories, 42 years for Ex-Servicemen, 43 years for OBC/MOBC, 45 years for SC/ST(P)/ST(H), and 50 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwD).
- Applications submitted after 01 July 2021 will not be accepted, even if submitted multiple times.
- Candidates must have good moral character, sound health, and a clean background.

- Current regular teachers in LP Schools under the Directors of Education, BTC, or Assam cannot apply.
- Apply for only one post in one district; multiple applications will result in cancellation.

- Vacancy numbers may vary due to administrative needs or ongoing court cases in the Hon’ble High Court.
- Reservations for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) will follow government guidelines.
- Three percent of posts are reserved for families of martyrs and victims of the Bodoland Movement.
