Assam Polytechnic Admission – Spot Admission for 2025

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam has released the tentative schedule for the online counselling process for admission into the 1st semester of Diploma in Engineering & Technology programmes offered by various State Government Polytechnics across Assam for the academic session 2025–26. This counselling process is meant for students who have qualified and are seeking admission into diploma-level engineering courses in government polytechnic institutes in the state. The schedule includes important dates and steps such as online registration, document upload, choice filling, seat allotment, and physical admission. All eligible candidates must follow the schedule carefully and complete each step within the given timeframe to secure their seat. The counselling process will be conducted online initially, followed by offline reporting at the allotted institutes for final admission and document verification.

Important Instructions for Students

1. Dates May Change
   The counselling schedule can be updated anytime based on decisions by the Counselling Committee, Government of Assam, or AICTE. So, stay alert for changes.

2. Check Websites Regularly
   Visit the official DTE Assam website and your chosen institute’s website often to stay updated with the latest information.

3. Accept Your Allotted Seat
   After seat allotment, log in to your counselling portal and click “Accept” to confirm your seat.

   • If you click “Reject” or don’t respond, you’ll be removed from the counselling process completely, and won’t be considered for any future rounds.

4. Report to the Institute with Documents
   After accepting the seat, take a screenshot or printout of the confirmation. Go to the allotted institute with:

• All original documents and one set of photocopies
• Admission fees: ₹4700 (General) or ₹4200 (TFW category)
• If you don’t report in person, your seat will be cancelled.

1. Bring the Right Documents
   Your admission can be cancelled if:

• You fail to bring the required documents
• You don’t meet the eligibility rules
• You don’t sign the required declaration (if needed)

1. Login Frequently
   Keep logging into your counselling portal to check your seat allotment status and updates.

2. Holidays Included
   Counselling steps may fall on Sundays or public holidays. Plan ahead so you don’t miss any deadline
