Eligibility for Assam Police Recruitment
The Assam Police Department, through the State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), prescribes Education Qualification cum physical standards and a multi-stage selection process for recruitment to the posts of Constable (Armed Branch), Constable (Unarmed Branch), and Sub Inspector (UB).

2. Medical Standards
To ensure fitness for police duties, candidates must:
- Be free from knock knees, flat foot, squint eyes, and colour blindness.
- Have no varicose veins (temporary disqualification if present).
- Be in good mental and physical health, without deformities or diseases such as: Diabetes, Heart disease, Hernia, Piles, Respiratory, disorders
- Have 6/6 vision in at least one eye and not poorer than 6/9 in the other (without correction).
- Maintain normal near vision.

The recruitment process consists of five major stages:
1. Preliminary Verification of Documents
- All original and photocopied documents are checked.

2. Physical Standard Test (PST)
