The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) earlier released the official notification for the Combined Competitive Examination (Preliminary), 2026 to fill 289 government posts in various departments. The preliminary exam was successfully held on 8th June 2025, and the results were declared on 17th July 2025.
Now, APSC has invited online applications from candidates who qualified in the Prelims for the Combined Competitive (Main) Examination, 2024. Interested candidates can apply online from 22nd July to 5th August 2025.
The APSC CCE exam is one of the most respected state-level competitive exams for top Group A positions such as Assam Civil Service, Assam Police Service, Superintendent of Taxes, and District Transport Officer, among others.

Eligibility Criteria for APSC CCE 2024
1. Age Limit (As on 1st January 2024):
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 38 years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
2. Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have a graduate degree from any recognized university in India.
- The degree must be completed before applying.
3. Nationality & Domicile:
- Must be an Indian citizen and an original resident of Assam.
- Must be able to speak Assamese or any other official or tribal language of Assam.
- Must be registered with any District Employment Exchange of Assam.
- Must submit a declaration of Small Family Norms in Form-A.
